Towed/Toad Hitch Recommendation?

Not sure of which forum to post on... Here goes.

Very excited about my new 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (4dr/4wd/Auto). We need a new hitch set up for behind the 98 Cutter Diesel MH. Any suggestions?

Our last toad was a Jeep Cherokee and the hitch is pretty much too old to reuse. We want new, easy, reliable and stable. Any suggestions? Also is there any experience with hitches and the Wrangler?

Everyone I know who has a Blue Ox swears by this hitch ... very easy to hook up and unhook. But I've only watched ... still, check em' out.

We tow a 1999 Jeep Wrangler and use a Blue Ox tow bar, they only thing I would change is ours is steel and very heavy I would switch to the lighter Aluminum.

PO towed a Wrangler, said they didn't have any problems and left me the system attached to the MH but they overpriced the Wrangler and kept it.

Readybrake RV Tow Bars and RV Surge Braking Systems

I am in the process of putting a new cable for the brake system on my toad, consists of a cable run from brake pedal to the front of the vehicle.
Was able to get a new one for $40 including shipping from Readibrute.
Easier to hook a cable than attach something inside vehicle to push on brake pedal electronicly.
MH rated for 3000 by AS, bar is rated 8000 and hitch is 5000 so Wrangler was overweight by a little using AS number.

Hello Pam,

I have an 06 Wrangler unlimited. I was towing it behind our Winnebago with this Roadmaster Stowmaster Tow Bar RM501

we were very happy with it and the price was right as I found it slightly used including the correct brackets..

Good luck.

Vinnie
