Glad you got it out. Had 3 heavy dudes sit on the back of my truck once to get the rear end low enough to connect.... Later got another good suggestion.... back up.as close as possible, and let all but about 25 lbs. Of pressure out of the truck's rear tires, then hook up and reinflate.

This is cheating, but it's been handy so many times for me that my tow vehicle has adjustable height through about 5". Both to assist in leveling the trailer without unhitching, or to hitch up in unlevel boondocking scenarios.

Rough terrain start

It is often easier to start from an awkward terrain by hooking up to a simple receiver ball, 4 wheeling slowly to level spot, then using your complex hitch to rehitch.
