Stabilizer/Sway Bar for New Camper

We are considering the purchase of a 2010 25' International Signature. Our TV is a 3/4 ton Dodge Ram. Do we need stabilizers and sway bar to tow this camper.

Weight distribution hitch and sway control for sure. What are you using for the 31'?

The answer is yes, if you intend to do any traveling. I do not think you need to overdo it with a $3,000 hitch but a simple weight distribution hitch, with or without a dampening device would cost less that $1,000. You might be able to locate one on Craigslist even cheaper. If you have the crew cab and the full length truck bed the requirements would be less because of the long wheelbase on the truck.

You can pick up an Andersen WD for under $500 new. Easy on and off and light weight. Sway control and WD in one unit. Myself and others are using them and loving them.

Ditto, on the Andersen, I am very satisified with the performance of mine. I have never read a complaint from anyone that actualy has and uses one. For the money I personaly think that it is best value on the market.

Definitely, I previously owned a 1993 25' Excella, and now have a 2002 30' Classic. Have used Reese dual cam anti-sway on both with no problem.

As was previously asked, what do you presently use on the 31' Excella?

There are several good units available, as you can tell by various posts in the forums.

Congratulations and best of luck in selecting the unit of your choice.

Not sure what we use on the 31'. If we get the new one, we're going to let the towing equipment go with the camper. Sounds like the Anderson is the way to go. Any other opinions?
