Size of Hitch Ball on 25' 1996 Excella?

Hello all. I'm in the process of purchasing the subject trailer. As I said before, it has not been moved in about 4 years. The current owner NEVER moved it so he has no idea of the size of the Ball to put on the ball mount (hitch) of the tow vehicle. Can anbody tell me what size Ball I will need? I'm probably gonna pull with a Nissan Titan or 3/4 ton Silverado. Thanks.

My 25' 2005 is 2 5/16" should be the same. Purchase one of the changeable ball units, mine is rated at 10,000 lbs.

Ball size on all Airstreams I have ever seen is 2-5/16" make sure you get a 10,000#. There are some lighter weight ones out there.

Aaron,

You have not seen an early 1950's model then. They have a 2" ball, I replaced the 2" with a 2 5/16" ball on my Liner to match the Safari.

But I agree, the 1996 model should be 2 5/16".

Bill,
You are correct. I am a 70's Vintage person I have seen one '68 up close and more 70's than I care to remember. I probably should have qualified my statement...
