I have read several threads regarding tongue weight. The TW of my 25 Safari 2005 is 1150. Total weight of trailer 7100 lbs 3/4 loaded with full water. TW works out to 16% of total weight. So much for 12 to 13% or don't exceed 1000lbs. The design of my AS with bedroom forward has all large storage areas including batteries, propane, etc. forward. Also, the axles are 2/3 of the way aft.
As we prepare for a long trip we are trying to distribute remaining weight aft. However, I don't see these figures changing a great deal. My TV is a GMC 2500, diesel so this is not too much of a problem, but when I had a
1500 Yukon and for people with lighter weight TVs, you need to pay close attention to weights.
