Riff Raff

I have read several threads regarding tongue weight. The TW of my 25 Safari 2005 is 1150. Total weight of trailer 7100 lbs 3/4 loaded with full water. TW works out to 16% of total weight. So much for 12 to 13% or don't exceed 1000lbs. The design of my AS with bedroom forward has all large storage areas including batteries, propane, etc. forward. Also, the axles are 2/3 of the way aft.
As we prepare for a long trip we are trying to distribute remaining weight aft. However, I don't see these figures changing a great deal. My TV is a GMC 2500, diesel so this is not too much of a problem, but when I had a 1500 Yukon and for people with lighter weight TVs, you need to pay close attention to weights.

Moving the TT spare tire to the truck will take off about 40 lbs of TW.

when i saw this post I was thinking about Riff Raff Diesel store.. http://www.riffraffdiesel.com/

if you have a ford diesel they are the place to get the best stuff for it..

but I think in reading the post you are talking about stuff in a trailer and tow vehicle..

as for the spare tire, I was going to eliminate it. The PO put a new set of michelins LTX tires and new rims (16") so the need for a spare is GREATLY reduced vs the POC goodyear marathons every body uses.
