TV is a 2008 Cheve Trailblazer, gross vehicle weight rating 5,550 lbs, curb weight 4,356 lbs. with max towing capacity is 5400 lbs. The trailer approx weight is 2800 lbs tw 275 lbs.
From the ratings, this will work. I don't really know how "springy" the bars are though; your trailer tongue weight is pretty low - you don't want really stiff bars, as they make the ride more rigid.
Your best bet is to find someone that uses a similar setup... most folks seem to prefer the twin-cam units like this one.
I don't use a WD hitch w/ our 3/4 ton truck, but folks around here tell me I'm doing it wrong .

toastie,
That particular Reese hitch works like any other weight distributing hitch, and as far as sway control is concerned, works on friction like the Equalizer hitch, and so depends on tongue weight. It would not work well in the anti-sway department with a trailer of low tongue weight, as I understand it. I've not used one, but it is an interesting concept and deviation from Reese's usual aproach to sway control.
