Question Reese WD unit for sale

I have a set of Reese weight distributing bars, platform with 2 5/16" ball and a 14" long draw bar for sale. The draw bar is #54995 which has a rating of 12,000 lb. trailer wt./1,200 lb. tongue wt., an 8 3/4" drop/rise and a 4" rise/drop. The Reese platform comes with a 2 5/16" ball and has space for a friction sway bar setup if desired. The wt. distributing spring bars are rated at 1,200 lbs./max. gross trailer wt. 10,000 lbs. Two chain latchups and the bar to tighten them are included.

New, this would run in the vicinity of $400-425. Everything but the drawbar is 4 yrs. old and the draw bar is 2 yrs. old. I'm not sure what they are worth but would consider an acceptable offer. I used this setup on my '77 Excella 500 31'.

Craig, I put mine up on eBay a few weeks ago for a 3 day auction. I had a very similar setup, except I had the newer bars that worked with the dual cam system (dual cam was not included in the auction).

The darn thing sold for only a few bucks shy of $300.00 (not a complaint....I felt it was a fair price)

Good luck selling them. They look in very good shape...not that it's easy to break this type of pig iron.

Thanks Silvertwinkie,
Funny, I checked ebay to get an idea if someone else put a similar unit up for bid and ran across your auction but did not make the connection. I saved it for reference.

I still have the original Reese hitch for my 1958 coach. It has sway control as well. Of course, it's not adjustable. I've heard that back then they would just adjust it for your car and then tack-weld in place.

What gave me the idea was that there was another person selling the same thing and he was at $280. I think the other person's closed for near $300 also.

If you'd like to use any part of the listing to help you sell yours, feel free.
