This is my set up. I pulled it up one link & now need to adjust the saddle. If I take it up 2 links, it's REALLY taught.

Reese wd bars

Thanks, Larry, for the offer. I'm pretty Far East of you, on the east side of Destin. I'm sure I can handle the adjustments.

Try it at three links.

Your Reese has a very good sway control.

It would appear that it's never been adjusted properly, which caused the addition of the "friction sway control".

Try the three links and remove the friction sway control, and then take a short trip with the trailer.

I think you will be very pleased with the results.

Andy

Someone also changed the coupler.

You may have to change the angle of the ball mount, so that the Reese bars stay parallel to the frame.

Please take a picture looking straight on from the side so we can see how much the bar bends - it's hard to tell from that angle of picture.

Well, things have taken a turn. As I was struggling to remove the rusted nuts off the brackets to move them forward, I got a call from the gentleman with the propride. He found a local rv repair place that will come to my campsite & install the propride. I'm off to meet the kind retired Naval officer & buy his 3 month old propride. Having it installed tomorrow. Going home with less anxiety Wednesday.. I'll take a picture of it installed. Merry Christmas to me😁

Looking at your picture it appears you have hit the yoke and marked it with the bar. This is a common problem with the Straight Line system. This happens to the outside bar while in a sharp turn while backing up. Consider grinding off about 1/8 in. of material at the point of contact. If not you may bend the yoke.

Fine business on the ProPride. Any issues call Sean direct and he will respond quickly. Make sure the yoke is dead center under the A frame when installed and it will tow beautifully!

Made the 900 plus mile trip home to freezing cold temps:-(. The great news is that I had zero sway incidents and all of my precious cargo (daughters & grandbabies) arrived home safely. PRICELESS! My wallet is a lot lighter....maybe the lighter load had something to do with it! Click image for larger version
