Question Reese Strait-Line install

Has anyone installed the Reese DC Strait Line.
The pictures look like the sway backets are bolted through the
trailer frame.
Does this compromise the frame strength or is it better to use
U-bolts on a different DC.
Does the tank mounts interfere with the U-bolts?
Kinda in a stew over this one.

I installed the Reese...

....U-bolt type on my 78 Tradewind. I was glad it worked, as that was the only hitch setup I had, and I was 900 miles away from home!

I found that I could lift the tanks and slide the u-bolts under, no problem. I even had the hitch and the bars set up to the correct dimensions (per the Reese instructions at ) before I got there, and astonishingly enough, no adjustments were needed in the field.

I just happened to purchase this one, as the local RV Salvage yard had it used, but I am very happy with it...
