Reese questions... What is the difference?

What is the difference between these two Reese WD hitches? I have a 99 Landcruiser and an 08 22 sport.

They are the pro series and round bar series. I dont see both on the Reese website.

From a functional stand point NOTHING.

One is using the older bars used with the Dual Cam Sway Control and the other the newer bars used with the Straight Line System.

Neither one has the sway control function included as they are missing the Cams. The are just WD systems.

OK, thanks! Now just to figure out which is a better option.... 400 pounds tongue, 4000 pounds trailer, 6000 pounds soft spring Landcruiser.....

Like Howie says, functionally they are the same. And, I would wager you can't even buy the older style with the straight ended bars any longer.

We used to have a hitch with the round bars, and I sometimes found it difficult to get them in and out of the hitch. The top of the bar goes up vertically inside the hitch and clicks on something to lock it in. Sometimes I would think it was locked in but it wasn't. And sometimes I could not get the right position to make them drop out.

I can get the square bars in and out of the hitch without any problems. Since everything else is the same, I'd recommend the square trunion bars.
