Years ago, many owners used 2 friction type sway controls.
Most of them still had sway.
The trick is not what you may use, but is it the correct type and rating for the intended job, as well as properly installed, and, properly adjusted.
Unless the answer to the above is yes, yes, yes, problems will still prevail.
Load equalizing hitches is not a rocket science, but unfortunately, many owners, to this day, refuse to accept facts, and totally disregard professional experiences.
Any travel trailer will track correctly, without a sway problem, "IF" and only if, the three factors are indeed positive, along with a good tow vehicle.
If even one is negative, the "booze" is certainly on the menu, at every truck stop. The booze helps reduce the "white" knuckles, or seemingly so.
