Receiver hitch on a Chevy 3/4 ton?

Does any know the tongue and load weight rating for the stock receiver hitch on a new 3/4 ton Chevy pickup? I would think it would be a class IV hitch rated for 1000 lb tongue and 10,000 lb load. The receiver looks beefy, but main brackets that bolt to the frame are not the gauge of metal have seen with the class IV I installed on a half ton pickup.

This is where mine failed. Stock 1997 Suburban 3/4 ton with over 100,000 miles by then.

I think the stock hitch at that time was 9,000

The receiver on my '08 is rated for 13,000/1,500 with weight distribution. They are much better than the ones use on the earlier trucks like HowieE had.

A friend of mine recently bought a '12 GMC 3/4 ton, and it's hitch is even bigger.

I've done lot's of trailering with mine and no issues.

Thanks. I sent a chat with Chevy last night and chatter said 1500 tongue weight also. Truck itself rated to pull 13,000 but he did not know for sure what the pull weight rating the receiver hitch was. Also, did not know what class the hitch was. Will post if I find out.

Sorry, I don't, and I had trouble reading what I did on there after 5 years and over 100,000 miles.
