Questions on hitch set set up for my Dodge
as I have an AS 79 excella 31 ft center bath and TV dodge ram 03 1500 5.7
hemi magnun quad cabin. I would like to know if I have a good TV for shor trips. I will be posting some pics about the TV and my AS. Another question is
I was trying to setup the WDH last night but I tink I did someting wrog because I felt too much tension when I lifted the saddle already chained.
and the only way I can lift the saddle is just using the last link on the chains.
any advise on these.

Looks OK to me, BUT, you should add a tosion type sway control, for increased safety.

The air bags, totally defeat the purpose of your load equalizing hitch.
They should be disabled and the air pressure should be at minimum, when your going to tow the trailer.
What you have has in the past caused 1/3 of all the loss of control accidents specifically towing an airstream. Those are facts from the old insurance division of Airstream.

No. The bars should bend at least one inch or even more.
If not, the the bars are to heavy for the tongue weight that you have.

You will get lots of "that looks good" and "don't do that" from a post but the only real way to see what you have is to make some measurements like
http://www.airforums.com/forums/f238...-in-17984.html
Nice lookin rig!

The last pic of your setup seems to be correct. I think I count about 8 links under tension. IF the trailer is level you should be good. Im not just sure what the weight of those bars are but they may be to heavy. ANDY or someone can tell ya what weight they are by the diameter at the base where the bar goes into the head.IF they are 1200 lb bars thats to heavy for that truck. I use 550 lb bars with my 1 ton and a REESE Dualcam Straightline.
I think they only thing you didnt mention is that YOU WEIGHED IT. YOU need to take the truck to the scales,no trailer. WEIGH the steering and drive seperately and then a gross for the truck FULL of fuel ready to go. THEN take the truck and trailer back to the scales and weigh each axle STEER DRIVE and TRAILER TANDEM and a total Gross and do the math. IT sounds like alot of hassle but you will be rewarded with a GREAT OCEAN WAVE RIDE
GOOD LUCK
