Propride 7 Pin Extender Cracked

My propride hitch works great. I have no complaints on the ride, and I have finally got it dialed in super for my TV and AS after some adjustments. But I have a slight problem with the 7 pin extender that I haven’t had before. When I got to the campground this week I noticed that the extender had pulled apart some and cracked. I’m guessing it got caught somehow while turning. Thankfully it wasn’t bad and it still works. But out of caution I bought another extender. Will try and fix this one and use it as a back up.

Anyone else have this happen?

Any hints out there on how to place that extender cord. Mine seems pretty long by the time I had the extender 7 pin.
