Newbie needs a WD hitch

We just bought a 1993 29' Excella AS - it is our first travel trailer so we are complete rookies at towing. The trailer's GVWR is 6800 lbs. and I have a Ford F-250. The guy I bought the AS from towed it all around the US including the Rocky Mtns. with a 3/4 ton truck and said you don't need a WD hitch with that much truck. (He also said airstreams NEVER leak!) Anyway we towed it home just fine but I'm thinking a WD hitch with sway control would be good to have before we hit the road with this thing. Something rated for 800 or 1000 lbs hitch weight? Amazon sells Eaz-Lift hitches in that range for under $250 but I'd like to hear from someone who knows what they are talking about before I order something. I have never towed anything approaching this size and don't want to just buy something based on price only. There is an RV shop 30 miles from me - they don't sell AS but I'm sure they would be glad to sell me a hitch if that's my best bet. Opinions welcome!

We bought our 2008 16' that came with an EZ WD hitch. I pulled it with a F150 Crew Cab. It didn't have sway control but the F150 only once had to engage its auto sway control because I had to do a quick movement to the left to avoid a construction sign.

We then moved up to the 25' that came with an equalizer WD hitch. I didn't like the stress indication points I saw on that hitch (bent arm pins) so when I sold the 16' I kept the EZ hitch and let the more expensive equalizer hitch go with it.

You might not need a wd hitch but sway control would be good.
