need advice on buying a hitch for a 1990 Wagon

I just bought a 1971 A/S, 25 feet long. I would like to tow it with our 1990 Mercury Marquis Wagon. It has a 5 litre engine.
I do not know the weight of the trailer or the rating of the car.
A local trailer place has told me the total towing package would be $2000.00 (Can.)
This seems like a lot to me, but it includes anti sway, load levelers, mirrors, tranny cooler all installed.
What do you think?

Also, could my 1994 Jeep with a class 2 hitch at least pull the trailer home, about 10 miles?

Welcome the world of aluminum.. now you are hooked.. we have had a 1976 25' Tradewind and now a 1975 26' Argosy.. we tow with a GMC Sierra with a 5.3L and it has the towing package on it..as far as the hitch goes .. got ours complete Reese Dual Cam on ebay for $310 US... very good deal.. We are in Peterborough .. Ont.. Annie
