The Tuson DirecLink controller seemed to cure the "bump" for us as it senses data from the OBDII port like the foot coming off the accelerator enrollee to the brake pedal.
We had the Hensley Arrow on the 25FB and decided to use the second generation ProPride for the Classic. Being a second generation design from Jim Hensley, there are many subtle improvements including no drilling into the frame and easier to use jacks.

Joy in driving.
Sounds like a very cool controller. I am going to look into that one.
I bought the Hensley Arrow because it came available used for $1,200 delivered.
Had I bought new I likely would have bought the PP because a. It is cheaper, and b. I like that the owner of the company posts on this forum.
It takes character and a real belief in his product to put himself out there like he does.

Hey Switz, does that brake controller apply the brakes harder with regard to g force, or is it a timed application?
I couldn't tell by reading the online documentation.

This is good practice. Every few seconds (5-8 seconds) you should check your left rear view mirror, instruments (speed, temperature, fuel level, rpm), rear view mirror (or camera monitor), out the front windshield for road signs, right mirror, and back again to know what's around you and the condition of your vehicle and road conditions. At work, we call this "surveying with your eyes"- observing vehicle status and traffic and road conditions.

I've been RVing since 1990 (all travel trailers) after awhile you acquire a few "lessons learned". This is why we upgraded to as Airstream earlier this year. Our Ram 3500 4x4 CCSB CTD has been the perfect tv for us (as we carry the heavy stuff in the back of the truck).
Our maiden voyage was almost 6,000 miles long and our combination towed like a dream. While I know better than to get too relaxed while driving, it was never a "white knuckle" experience. In this light, I enjoyed the towing experience... the first thing I told my bride when we returned home was that we have to start getting ready for our next vacation.
I (we) can hardly wait 'til retirement.

With the electric/hydraulic disk brake system we have, the longer the pump runs the higher the pressure seems to build based upon a numerical setting in the hand controller. One experiments on a gravel road to fine tune the wheel lock point setting. Too high a number and it feels like a drag anchor hit the ground.
From using the override controller without the truck brake pedal, I believe the disc trailer brakes would be capable of stopping the whole rig if the truck brakes quit.

On the autobahn in Germany, the eight second sweep would allow to tiny head lamp dots in the mirror to turn into an Italian car cruising by at 200+ mph.
