Hitch Storage

I've searched for a method of storing my hitch and bars with the Enkay mudflaps still attached in my garage. I envision a stand much like an engine stand that acts like the truck receiver where I can slide the hitch in and it will stand along the back wall on my garage. I hate to leave this thing on the floor with the Enkays still attached. The flaps get a curve to them. I also don't want to go through the effort to disassemble them all the time. I sure don't want that weight on the back of my truck when not camping. Besides, they are a tripping hazard - DON'T ASK........

OK, so anyone seen a storage rack or made one?

I know - I need to camp more and store less - but hey, I gotta pay for the fun times and it seems that there is a 50:1 rato of work to fun days. BTW - I paid the trailer off today so it's mine.

Congrats on finally owning what you thought you owned all along. I have no good suggestions for storage. (My marriage hangs by a thread some days, thanks to my "storage" methods.)

I actually can't quite picture everything you're trying to store, but off the top of my head, maybe you could adapt something like a scooter wheel chock?

My Enkay's only go on the hitch when I am going off road / dirt road camping. I set mine on end and have noticed no bending of the flaps. You could always put a 2" square bpock on the wall and set them over the block.

I loosen the bolts on the center hub (collar), which then allows me to fold the support arms.

This allows me to lay my hitch (Hensley Stinger) flat on the ground in the garage, and the mudflaps lay flat with it.

I then put this under my truck and park my truck right over it.

If you have a "tall" garage, you can always put a boat winch in the rafters, and lift the hitch up to the rafters, out of the way. A pair of heavy duty hooks in a rafter will hold the hitch up.
