Hitch recommendations please!!

For my 26' overlander (4000+lbs) I use a heavy duty weight distribution hitch with trunnian style spring bars. It is awesome, no sway no matter what. I've been pulling my "new" 1953 17 footer just with the ball and safety chains, but I definately get a bit of sway when I'm over 65mph.

I had been hoping to just adjust the height on my big hitch, and buy some lighter weight, shorter spring bars and hook up brackets. I can't find short, trunnian style bars, and this seems like over-kill for this just over 2000 lb trailer. I pull with a Yukon XL and I do not know the tongue weight of this trailer.

Any suggestions?

I would invest in a dedicated hitch for this little trailer.
This one comes to mind:
Equal-i-zer Hitch Store: 400 / 4,000 lb. Equal-i-zer Sway Control Hitch
It is a product specifically designed for lighter, sub 4000lb trailers. You can find a much better price on this than what is quoted on the site, btw.

PM me your phone number and I will call you. I need more info and it is not easy to just swap back and forth the hitch between 2 trailer.

I use one of these on a 17' Casita and it works really well.
Single Bar Weight Distribution Kit for A-Frame 3205 : Trailer hitch bike rack and trailer hitches - etrailer.com

It's cheap, easy to install, and it works great.

Hitch

I have the Reese Dual Cam Straight Line. Sway Control is incorporated into the design. It has worked well for me, just use the lightest trunion bars you can find with the adapters on the ends (550 lb).
