hitch queries

hi
i have a 1982 excella31.
the hitch that came withit has two bars that apparently come off of it and attatch to the sides of the a frame. however i cant work out how it all fits together and works can anyone suggest a web site that has pictures of this type of hitch assembled. it is of no use for me to go to my local trailer specialist as they have not seen one of these before( we are located in england!)
