once you put on the weight of the hitch and a possible future bike rack, that tongue weight will creep up there anyway...

Yes and take Doug's and Sean's advice. Don't ask me how I know...

Boy oh Boy are we having a good time spending your money! You are putting together one top notch outfit and should be proud.
I'm glad you decided to install the hitch yourself. This will help in the learning curve about your equipment and identify if something looks out of place while out on the road. I would skip the part about bringing a floor jack to raise propride into place. Just lift it up and have someone flip the latch down. I have flipped the latch down with my nose in a pinch - hoping the neighbors aren't watch and laughing.....It's not that heavy unless you have a bad back. I store our HAHA in the shed at the end of each season to keep it out of the weather and reinstall in the spring.

Yes HAHA = Hensley Arrow
I believe the HAHA term was coined by 2airishuman a long time ago.

Guess it will be impossible to know
I guess this depends on the dealership and their shops, however, I would definitely plan to stay overnight and work everything in the new unit. I no longer have an AS, but our last one was an ordered unit, 2011 30' Classic, and after spending the first night on their lot, I kept two of their shop techs busy for over four hours the following day.

Also of note, on both of our AS's (both new units), neither dealership charged a dime to install our ProPride.

Enjoy the new rig. RVs are tons of fun with small kids. We've spent over half of this summer in ours. Our kids now 9 and 6, still talk about our first trip to Disney in our first AS - a 25' Flying Cloud. Memories...

The best of both Worlds....The Forums' and an in person Mentor.

We used the PO of our 63 Safari extensively during our Learning Curve.
A GREAT resource, before joining here.

There is a forest service park near the Airstream dealer right off highway 49 called Big Biloxi something or other. I will see about staying at that campground when we go to a wedding in November.
