Hitch bar

How do you know what length hitch bar is appropriate??

12", 13", 14"???

I have a 12", but it seems like most people here are using a 14". Is that accurate, and what's the reason?

Thanks!!

Mine came with a 10 and 12 (adjustable), but the dealer set it up to be used on the 10 slot.

Not sure what the difference is, but it does seem to tow fine.

I should specify that I'm referring to the length of the bar that is inserted into the hitch receiver.

Thanks!

The shorter the better (in my not always humble opinion), as long as the corner of the tow vehicle can't kiss the AS.
