Question hitch assembly 1967 overlander

The hitch on my Overlander has a broken lock down mechanism, and before I get it repaired I need to know what size it is! Towed it home on a two inch ball, but it could be 2 5/16? Does anyone know? Thanks in advance for the help!!

hitch assembly 1967 overlander

Greetings Travelingbears!

Unless a previous owner has changed the original coupler, you should have a 2" Marvel coupler. If my information is correct, Airsream didn't switch to the 2 5/16" coupler until 1969. Inland RV among others should have rebuild kits for the original couplers.

My 1967 accepts a 2-inch ball.
