I have a Yukon Denali, do I need anything special to pull a 25' AS?

You're going to be inundated with questions.

Simple answer is yes, you will need a weight distribution hitch with an anti sway bar.

Now, got prepared for more information that you ever thought you wanted. ;-)

You don't need anything special but if you want the most pleasant, safest towing experience possible get a sway elimination hitch. Only two manufacturers build them, Hensley and ProPride. ProPride is an updated version of the Hensley original, costs less, requires no drilling of frame to install, and is sold only direct from the builder to you or your installer.

This is based on our experience with conventional and ProPride hitches. The difference is remarkable.

No argument that Hensley and ProPride are superb hitches but they weigh several hundred pounds and I'm guessing that with a Denali pulling a 25' the OP might have a better use for that payload.

Reese Dual Cam, Blue Ox etc. all have their fans and all seem to do the job.

Ditto on the Blue Ox SwayPro. Lighter, cleaner, appreciably less expensive and totally eliminates sway. This is not a paid advertisement. Only a recommendation from a satisfied customer.

This hitch is capable of ordinary antisway resistance and no more. The manufacturer recommends adding one -- even two -- additional friction controls for better performance.

Not at all the same as a Hensley or Pro Pride which are not dependent on tongue weight to control the trailer.

An enormous difference between the two designs.

It depends on how deep your pockets are. I have had success with EazLift and Equal-i-zer, but if my pockets were deeper I would have a ProPride.
Do you have $400 or $2,300? That will lead you in the direction you need to go.

The design of the BO looks good, granted. I'd rather have it over Equalizer. But used HA and PP are reasonable in price and are then an enormous bargain given performance.

I have seen used Hensley and ProPride in the $750-$1,000 range, but shipping will eat you alive unless you are close enough to do the transaction in person. I don't even have that much. The OP might, though-

I've seen them even lower. The point might be made that price needn't be an obstacle as the difference is two entirely different classes of hitch design.

In addition to a weight distribution/anti sway hitch system, you will also need to install a quality trailer brake controller in your Yukon. Without this, the brakes on your Airstream will not operate.

You will also need some type of trailer mirrors for your Yukon. The standard mirrors on your Yukon are not suitable for towing an Airstream.

"Necessary" and "recommended" are not the same any more than are "eliminate" and "resistant to".

The anti sway resistance is no more than conventional. Friction controls increase that minimal amount. The advantage of the hitch would appear to be the fresh take on the old design. Simplicity.

It would help if you read the site. See the FAQ. And anyone understanding hitch design knows the limitations of what spring bars provide AND knows that this is the standard prescription for increased sway resistance.
