Hensley vs. ProPride

"Which is the latest design?" "The answer may surprise you."

Hi, I just read this comparison of these two hitches, [with pictures]

have you seen it yet?

I would like to hear from you, what are your opinions on this article?

I'm only asking for opinions on this article, not for arguments about what

you have. I do not own either of these hitches and you don't have to own

one either to give your opinion on this thread.

Wink Opinion

I think they are both good hitches. It is up to ones individual preference.

Haven't seen it. Is it in your local newpaper? WSJ? Journal of the ASME?

The two manufacturers are waging a PR battle; yawn.

I believe the PP is the better hitch but it's really about correcting minor irritations with the HAHA not a great new design. The PPPPP doesn't use the zerks to retain the spring bars, a system that HAHA owners find unreliable, the paint is more durable, you don't have to drill the frame to install, the stinger is adjustable, and it's a little easier to hitch because the capture cone is a little larger. The truss rod system on the HAHA and the yoke system on the PPPPP perform comparably.

The Hensley Mfg. people like to claim that the yoke system on the PPPPP is something they tried once and decided was unsatisfactory. So what. It's not why people buy the PPPPP.

The ProPride is MUCH more likely to be dialed in correctly per WD. That alone makes it superior. I felt like kicking myself for buying an H/A when the PP came out three months later. With a fully adjustable hitch head (versus the stupid "stinger") one can make all the minor adjustments to bring the scale readings to their best point, now or in the future (different trailer, different loads, etc). An inch here, an inch there . . it all adds up.

Hi, this and other adds show up on the top of the forum page; Usually three adds by Google. They pop up randomly and I don't know if everyone sees or gets them, but I do.

I was wondering too. I use Firefox with the Addblock Plus Add-on, so I never see those adds at the top.

I use Firefox with the popup blocker on as well, but I get three adds across the top directly related to what I am viewing. If it is an insurance thread, then the adds are insurance related, hitches, then hitch related etc.

To get back on track, I have not looked at the add from HAHA, but I like my 3P very much!

It does get tiring answering their nonsense. I'm not really waging a PR battle but I REFUSE to let them think they can just post and spread ignorant statements "willy-nilly." They don't really believe anyone is smart enough to see through their idiotic claims. The proof being reported all over the internet by ProPride customers speaks for itself.

My latest answer to a ridiculous blog post they made is posted on YouTube.
