If it gets sloppy I'll swipe that idea. Interestingly, I just changed TV to a somewhat taller one. Now I'm again glad I picked a ProPride--take out the big wrench, and fix the height in a few minutes of grunt work that is basically free...

As my trailer will change height and the truck go to its third hitch receiver, it's why I bought an adjustable stinger for the HA. Someday it'll be done and I can do an exchange and cut that to fit the tightest.

I'm in the market for either hitch (PP OR HAHA) used. Following this conversation.
Thank you for all of the comments.

palmtreegirl,
Propride does sell some refurbished models which is probably a good deal. They are listed on ebay or call Sean.
From time to time there are used Ha,Ha's that come up for sale. Prices vary.

I could not agree more. That's coming from a previous owner of a Hensley on a previous AS many years ago. When it was time to get a hitch for my Classic 30 I spoke with both Hensley and Shawn @ PP and the difference in approach and salesmanship went to Shawn @ Pro Pride. I really appreciate my PP.

Ditto. Talked to both vendors. Liked the design details of the ProPride better, lack of holes to drill in the A-frame, and the adjustable stinger sold it for me.

Did NOT appreciate the hard sell and push for a sales close games Hensley tried to pull at all. I'm an engineer. I deal in facts, not sales droid BS and obfuscation.

I'm also impressed by how easy it is to install and adjust the PP. A little tuning and experimenting and it's just right fit the AS and TV combo. Pulled over 8,000 miles the first two trips through all kinds of conditions, and the only issue I had was with my tow mirrors getting loose in the wind across Texas...AS followed like a faithful puppy.

Funny. The exact opposite happened to me. When talking to PP they were into the bashing HA mode and that really turned me off. But that was several years. Things have settled down a bit. I too am an engineer and I didn't like the PP new yoke design compared to the HA strut bars. It is important that the head not have any rotational play and the yoke design looked to me to be more apt for that to happen. Now I didn't do any real world tests, that was just my observation comparing the two designs and only my opinion. I also like the HA simple stinger design versus the PP adjustable contraption. HA customer service has always been excellent as I'm sure PP is also. Both are good hitches and you can't go wrong with either.

If properly set up, the PP yoke has no slop in it to speak of. But it does need to be checked for wear which is easy to do. It can be readily adjusted out.

I also checked out both last year. I went with Hensley Arrow for a number of reasons. I received excellent information and customer service from Hensley and never once had any high pressure sales applied to me. I feel the HA is a much better design than the PP and worth the difference in price.

I decided on a refurb Swift-Arrow from Hensley. Terry was so helpful. It will be here tomorrow or the next day at the latest. Looking forward to installing and trying it.

Installed Refurbished Hitch

Here is some pictures of the new hitch on my tow vehicle/trailer. Personally, I think the drawbar is too low causing the trailer not to be level.
Opinions?

Question on storage with PP or HA. My AS is stored indoors and they use a forklift with a ball to move. How do you deal with issues like this?
Thanks
