I haven't yet, but I still haven't pulled a hundred miles yet, and my trailer brakes work well.

If it does bump, if that is the price I pay for the easy towing, I am cool with that.

If it bumps, the consensus here seems to point to brake controller. If the trailer brakes don't engage first, the trailer will try to drive in to the truck and push the head forward (thus the bump). I was scared to death of this having read so much about it here and in other forums. But apparently my truck's integrated brake controller works perfectly as I haven't experienced the Hensley Bump on my ProPride.

Glad you're enjoying the towing experience!

To me having great trailer brakes, and knowing it is important to me. The way I see it, If I don't feel the trailer brakes first, it means I have to fix something....

My Hensley came with the A/S and I've used it with an 05 Silverado with add on trailer brakes and now a 15 Silverado with integrated trailer brakes. No bump with either. It's a 30'.

Hensley

Frankly the truth is I am kind of OCD about trailer brakes...... A truck or RV with properly functioning trailer brakes stops well, a hard stop without good trailer brakes is freaky and dangerous.

The chances of me ever feeling the Hensley bump would mean the my trailer brakes failed sometime between where I was previously parked and the bump.

In my not so humble view. if a person is feeling the bump they should take it as a warning that their trailer brakes are not working right, or they are using the wrong style controller.
