Partially depends on your tow vehicle. I can't tow my Tradewind on the ball with the Tahoe because the hitch shank makes grooves in the pavement.

I tow our 1971 Tradewind w/o a WD hitch w/ our F250. It all depends on the tongue weight and what your vehicle will handle. I would try to keep the ball as close to the rear axle of the TV as possible; there's no point in giving the trailer extra leverage.
