I've towed with it both ways (wd and no wd) you *very* much do want the wd unless you enjoy a crazy ride.

What is the truck doing? Mine is stable as a rock, and yours should be too. Maybe there's something wrong with your truck. I know there was a thread called F-250 death wobble a while back. Not sure but I think had to do with the truck's suspension elements wearing out.

That should be fun. I'll be cruising along at 85 mph and here comes some jerk trying to pass me with hitch bars creaking and twanging away as he porpoises off the road into the nearest ditch.
