Diesel fuel trip planner?????

We are about to embark on our first 1000 mile trip with our 2001 F-250 7.3 diesel and are wondering if there is a good website that facilitates trip planning.
Let me clarify....I am also a pilot and frequently use a site, airnav.com, which enables me to enter departure, destination and distance I can travel between fuel stops. It responds by providing 20 routes with fuel prices at various airports.
With all the diesel trucks on the road, certainly there must be a site that provides discrete fuel prices.
I would like to input that I am travelling from Houston to Charlotte on INterstates and can travel 400 miles between stops.
I would like to see it return.
I-10 Exit Slidell, MoM&PoP station diesel...$2.55
I-59 Exit Montgomery, Shell diesel.....$2.66
etc.

Does such a site exist????

Hi Bob!
1000 mi first trip, ah the anticipation!

I use MS Street&Trips with a download that shows all Flying J truck stops, along with other stops which are relevent to my way of traveling.

As to the plug and play program you speak of, let's see what the other forum members can come up with!

Good Sam Club has a pretty good trip planner that includes turn by turn to include atlas grids, Petro stations, national parks and of course Good Sam RV campgrounds.

Plus its free.

What I would prefer is a site that tells me whether or not a "non-truckstop" station has diesel. The truckstops are OK - but sometimes it's rather intimidating if they don't have smaller/slower nozzles and/or islands designed for our rigs. The only problems I've found with standard gas stations offering diesel are threefold; first, they may not be readily able to accommodate rigs over 50' in length at their diesel pumps, second, they all too often fail to place signs that are readily visible to let you know where the diesel pumps are located, and third, they may not sell enough diesel to keep the quality up and the water out. I've mentioned before, that I prefer to time my trips to where I can refuel after I stop and unhook for the night. That solves the first two problems above - but you should always beware of the third! A slug of water in the tank can sure ruin a nice day.

Flying J's have separate pumps for RV's. They have gasoling, diesel with the smaller nozzle pumps, and porpane available in front of the building usually. Also, they're buffets are quite good. Love the peach cobbler. Check Welcome to Flying J Travel Plazas Website! Wi-Fi Hotspot Truck Stops

Flying J's aren't too common up here in the Northeast - at least not in ME, NH, VT.

Flying J's are generally situated along truck routes. My travels generally take me along rural routes so I agree with Cracker. Where are the diesel sites at the normal fuel stations?

This isn't quite what you want, BUT...
One pretty good site is gasbuddy.com. It has some useful features, and includes actual prices of both regular 87 octane and diesel, as reported by members. I do use Flying J whenever I can, and have only good reports for the stations.
