Info comes from "Interstate Highway Standards"
6% is generally allowed in mountainous areas and hilly urban areas with up to 7% grade on mountainous roads with speed limits below 60 MPH.
Since interstate roads where started to support the movement of our Armed Forces they tried to make it easy for military trucks of the day. Trucks of the 1950/early 60 did not have the horse power we have now. There where still flat head 6 cylinder engines in many truck when the Interstate planing was going on. They could not go 60 down hill let alone up hill. Look at the truck we used in Korean War.

Enough Truck!

If you have towed that many miles and are comfortable with the way everything handles - I would not be concerned about adding a sway bar. Your TV is plenty heavy for a 19 ft AS. As far as power? I tow a 24 ft at about 4000 lbs with a 7000 lb 1 ton longbox crewcab powered by a 350 TBI at (questionably) 210 hp! I can pass a few, but not all, loaded big trucks in the hills. I think it comes down to how patient you are.

Some really great advice here. You should be just fine if you are staying on the interstate highways. Here in CA we have a few passes (hwy 108), (hwy 4) in the sierra that are very high elevation, steep, narrow, winding roads with unparalleled views. They are why I installed hydraulic disc brakes on my Safari. Plan accordingly.

My first MH had the Ford V-10 engine. I thought, "ten cylinders, I'm going to fly!" Imagine my surprise when I went up the rockies out of Denver on I-70 at 4500 RPM and 25 MPH, and could not go faster! I actually checked twice to make sure the parking brake was not accidentally set.
