When I changed out my 53 FC's coupler, I went up to a 2 5/15" ball. The Atwood coupler I bought is nice and easy to use.

Hope it helps.

Plasma cutter and refined it with a grinder.

Just a suggestion. When you set up the new coupler, be sure that it is square with the axles.

Don't assume it was square when the first one was put on; mine was off by about 3/8".
