Brake controller for disc brakes

I have a 2007 chev 2500 duramx with a built in brake controller. I am buying a 30' Classic Limited with disc brakes. Is it true that I have to buy a additional brake controller? If so, what should I buy.

yes, you will have to buy a separate controller. There is one model Tekonsha and one model Hayes controller that will work well with the disc brake actuator. I think they are the P3 and Genesys, respectively.

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup.

The Prodigy works well with disc brakes. I had disc brakes put on my Safari and it worked perfectly from the first test drive.

Brake controller for disc brakes

I have been told that my brake controller on my 2007 chev 2500HD pick up will not work on the 30 AS we are buying with disc brakes. If that is true what should I buy. Also, I have a Hensley hitch. The measurement fromthe pavement to the to inside of the receiver is 19.75. The measurement from the pavement to the top inside of the hitch is 18.75. What drop down do I need for the Hensley bar hitch?

Hayes also makes a new G-2 model that will work with any Electric/Hydraulic unit. Active Technology has closed shop and the Actibrake unit will be/is no longer available, the Carlisle Hydrastar seems to be the best replacement andwillwork with any brake controller. Accproding to the Carlisle literature it say that both GM and Ford state in their literature that the in cab controllers should only be used with electric brakes (magnet). Hook up on the Carlisle is only 4 wires like a standard brake control.
