Blue OX sway pro installation
We have just installed a blue ox sway pro hitch with the assistance of the dealer that sold us the hitch. We had watched the videos on YouTube both from Blue Ox and eTrailer who both said to measure the top of the coupler with the trailer level and then put the ball one to two inches higher than the coupler head. This guy acknowledges that is what they say, but he measured the height of the frame and added the amount from the frame to the top of the coupler. There was about a 5 in difference in those two measurements. In looking at the installation according to his calculations, the trailer looks level and the rear measurement of the truck went down and inch with the front staying the same like the videos. The chains went in at 8 rather than 9links. Anyone know why the difference and which we should believe? And if this lower measurement is incorrect, what signs would there be in the performance of the hitch while towing?
Thanks in advance.
