So, the Denali receiver is no longer a problem?

The Denali receiver was upgraded, I think.. it was once a 'round' tube.. and fairly thin walled. The replacement is made of square tubing.. and more substantial 'wall thickness'..

The offer still stands for a 'test tow'...

We have owned a Reese, a Hensley, and 2 Blue-Ox over the past 8 years with 3 AS's. The Reese broke and ended up with our first Blue-Ox few years back as it was all they had in stock. . It worked well for us over 2 years we owned our rig- back/forth TX-MT... when we got our new FC in June this year, we could have purchased any of the featured hitches, but chose the Blue-Ox. Once you learn the trick with power jack in front, hitching/un-hitching is not an issue, and it tracks true with all the "road" hazards mentioned in this thread. For us, Blue-Ox works great. Would purchase again.

I am buying a 2013 30 foot signature and pulling it with a 2013 gmc 2500 diesel. Wanting to buy the blue ox hitch but the truck hitch sits 21.5 inches off ground and the trailer sits 19.5 inches. The blue ox hitch is a zero drop hitch, what is the best way to make up the difference

The Blue OX comes with an adjustable stinger having up to 9 holes spaced about 1.5" apart. You should be able to match up just about anything. My Suburban is about 2.5" higher than the trailer and I have no problems at all hooking up nice and level across the trailer and truck.

I did have to go with a longer than supplied stringer for my Jeep. Blue Ox sent me a replacement at no charge. Outstanding customer service from them.

Will the 15,000/1,500 tongue weight be too large of a equalizing hitch for a 30 foot international. I want to buy the blue ox system. The other option is the 10,000/1,000 size.

Garmat, recommend you call Blue Ox and discuss this with them. They will be able recommend the proper bars for your specific application. They have some very helpful and knowledgeable people there.

What weight bars are being used on the Blue Ox Pro for AS 25? I'm thinking of switching from my Equalizer. My hitch weight is close to 1200lbs.

We use 1000 # but I would call them and inquire to be sure. They are very helpful. This site has the bars listed and phone number at the top.

buy the longer shank. I had to go to a 9pin shank. Also, you probably have a 2 1/2 receiver, so buy the appropriate shank.

I went to the Blue Ox based on the dealer recommendation when I traded up from a 23 Int. to a 26 Int. Was previously using an older round bar hitch. I used the Blue Ox for about 500 miles and was unsatisfied with the set up. The hitch head angle on a Blue ox is not adjustable, so the only options for set up are ball height and bar tension. IMO having an adjustable hitch head angle is essential in getting the trailer level and the weight distribution dialed in for the requirements of the tow vehicle.

My towing experience with the Blue Ox was OK, but not right on. I believe dealers are pushing Blue Ox because they are a quick no brainer to install, and they on average work pretty well. I cannot comment on Pro-Pride, as I have never used one, but Blue Ox did not have enough adjustability for my specific application, or liking. I tow with a 3/4 ton diesel P/U

Does the Blue Ox work as well as the Equalizer? I have an Equalizer and after a couple of years with it I don't like it much anymore. Trying to adjust it with spacers and having to torque down the hitch head bolts to almost 400lbs after adding/removing spacers is a chore. After a week on the road it started to grind and groan and then you have to relube the head. The WD bars fit in the sockets sloppy and starts to bend the retaining clip pins. I looked at the Blue Ox Pro and it seems simpler to install, maintain, and adjust.

Looked at a Hensley hitch on an Airstream last week and it looks massive which gives me an idea of what a Propride would look like. No doubt they are great WDH but I'm worried about the extra weight on my Tundra.

i am using the Blue Ox but needed a longer shank because of the height of the F350 hitch. no issues with this hitch. easy enough to adjust the number of links so you are neither too tight or too loose. easy hookup makes it a pleasure to begin or end a trip. so far, no sway has been noticed at highway speeds or along the narrow 2 lane roads we frequently travel.

I have a Blue Ox Sway Pro. It is the only WD hitch I have tried so far. When set up correctly it seems to work fairly decent. I am towing a 31' footer with a 1/2 ton truck and I get some sway from time to time. I have learned that keeping my fresh water tank at least half full levels out the load better and eliminates more sway than the hitch ever did though. If the opportunity ever arises I want to try a Hensley or ProPride and see if they really will eliminate all the trailer sway.

From above, "If the opportunity ever arises I want to try a Hensley or ProPride and see if they really will eliminate all the trailer sway."

They will, as well as the push out of alignment you feel when a semi passes you. The difference was very apparent a few miles into our first trip with one, will put a smile on your face.

Guess I am wondering what "OK" is...The newer BlueOx was designed so you don't need to fool with the "angle". I certainly can own which ever hitch works best and is safe. After 4 hitches, and 2 BlueOx on last couple AS's, when set up with proper size bars, no issues with BO... On the other hand, there are arguments from some because they like to tinker...to each his own...

And further thought regarding that earlier post about the blue ox, I respectfully suspect the setup was not done correctly. It was stated that "the head angle needs to be adjustable to get the trailer level". My understanding and experience setting this up was that the getting the height of the ball correct is what determines making the trailer level.
The head angle is to in effect give a starting preload for the bars to be able to transfer load from the drive axle to the steer axle ( and back to the trailer axle(s).
