Best combo WD anti-sway hitch

I may be towing a 82' 34' Airstream behind a 2003 Expedition. This will be a one time tow of about 500 miles but this is a marginal tow vehicle for this weight and I'll need all the help I can get with WD/sway.

Borrow one...

If it is really a one-time event, any of the reputable Reese or other hitch units and sway bars should be enough to get you 500 miles, assuming you take it very easy, and drive more slowly and with great care. Buying "The Best" for this run seems expensive, especially if you're going to park it and use it as a permanent base somewhere... Brake controller should also be installed and well calibrated, as stopping might be at least as exciting as swaying. Hopefully, you could find someone who has a hitch in your area and would let you use it for a couple days...

If you really want to purchase one, search (use search feature on blue bar above to right..) using words "hitch" and "Reese", and gets lots of advice..

How do you "well calibrate" a brake controller ahead of time?

Calibrate before hitting the road..

Sorry for confusion..

Calibrating the brake controller to the trailer is done after connecting. Depending on model, you'd set trigger sensitivity and signal strength (voltage) after hookup and test a few times on quiet street before hitting the highway or running at higher speed.

Tow service

If it is truely a one time shot, I would look into hiring someone with the proper rig to deliver it to the site. You will not have to buy at least $300 worth of equipment and have the chance of an accident and much more expenses. You can advertise here or on the other Airstream or RV sites for tow wanted or contact someone who is already advertising this service. You should pay $1.00 to $1.50 per mile.

Well I actually want to tow it twice, once to my house then once to give it a good once over, then once up north.
