Loving my ProPride P3. Tows like no other hitch I have ever had. Sean is also the best at working with his customers to be sure they are happy. Oh yeah...no frame damage here either!

I think the ha and pp hitches are gross overkill, but damaging to the frame? No!

If you have ever experienced barely controllable sway descending a mountain pass like I did, you would not think they are overkill by any means.
To me, my ProPride is priceless.

Ironically, coming down a mountain with the trailer trying to push from behind is one of the most susceptible places for the destabilizing Hensley Bump to occur.
There is no empirical evidence that either of the super hitches are safer and thus reduce accidents compared with any other hitch on the market.

AS frame damage???
The problem was caused by a cheap WD hitch with no sway control. (Husky brand).
ProPride down the same pass same AS, same TV had zero sway.
Crossing Texas in high winds, no sway.
Claim/complain all you wish, I'm keeping the ProPride and darn glad I bought it. And no, it doesn't bump either. Brake controller is also set up properly.
And yes, I am in fact an engineer and there is no operator error involved.
Don't make me put my 'grumpy' hat on...😀😀😀

I agree with rmkrum. There is no "bump" with a ProPride. Maybe with a Hensley, I wouldn't know. It is an awesome piece of equipment that performs very well. With the Classic close to 10,000 lbs when loaded, I tow with an over abundance of confidence thanks to my ProPride!

Ahh, the Hensley Bump.
On extremely rare occasions, ours will do that. In order to experience it, we need to be going downhil, decelerating, and entering a fairly sharp curve. The head will rotate outboard of the curve, and we will feel a slight lurch, or bump.
For it to occur, you would already need to be traveling at a reduced speed, so for the most part, it's more of a surprise than any kind of dangerous thing. I suppose if one were to be traveling at full highway speed, jam on the brakes while trying to negotiate a 35mph curve on wet or slippery roads, it would have the potential to get exciting, but at that point, all bets would already be off anyway.
