Arrow vs 3P...?

I'm trying to compare the arrow with the 3p hitch, I've spoke with both companies and read many comments on each. Has anyone out there given up one for the other or willing to post mechanical problems with either? Unlevel hitching is not one of my concerns. Thanks to all replies.

I have no experince with the Hensley, but I do have the ProPride, have no problems, and would not be without it. When I decided to by this type hitch, I figured I'd get the latest and best version of the design.

I have had several trailers and each one had the Hensley.....I like the design, function and ability to adjust for wear in the hitch....never had a problem with their customer service either....

Never have owned the Pro-Pride so I can't comment one way or the other....

2airishuman switched from the Hensley to the 3P on his trailer and was pleased with the switch. I believe he is the only one who has done so although there are other people who have had the Hensley on one trailer and the 3P on another.

I have the 3P.

Both hitches work as designed. The differences are minor:

1) 3P has a larger opening for the stinger which makes it a little easier to hitch up
2) On the 3P the stinger drop is adjustable. While Hensley offers free exchanges to the original purchaser, round trip shipping is typically $75. If you are not the original purchaser you have to buy a new stinger which is around $250 including shipping.
3) The Hensley uses the grease zerks as part of the retention mechanism for the WD bars, and they're prone to failure. 3P uses a separate retainer sleeve which works better
4) The orange paint on the Hensley fades in the sun and looks bad after a year or two.

You might also search around for comments from people who have needed repairs or parts for their Hensley hitch, either in or out of warranty. Such comments have not been uniformly positive.

ProPride is an infamously excellent hitch designed by Jim Hensley with the best service and support one could ask for.

Do the research - you will come to your own conclusion, obviously for me - it is an invaluable part of my overall tow package and I would't even think of using another hitch.

ProPride - money well spent - designed by the best and backed by the best.
