Now Im a believer in Airsafe. Freeway expansion joints are basically gone and the large dips in the road are consumed by the hitch now. Overall im really happy. I stopped in a parking lot to take some shots now that I think I have it all dialed in. Thanks for posting this thread Larry. Its been fun to set up both of these hitches together.

Good looking rig! We have some friends in Crestview, Florida, who have the twin to yours, he's a Ford fan also. (That has brought out some interesting conversations of Ford vs Dodge, and Navistar vs Cummins) He thinks he's won the arguements, but deep down inside, I think he knows who the REAL winner is... HOHOHO
Glad to hear the trial run went well, let's stay in touch.

Guys,

My first truck was a 92 Dodge Cummins.. Loved that truck but needed a crew cab. I like the Ford with the Navistar as It runs well and works for us but my next truck will be the Dodge 5500 Cummins with a service box on it. I will use that for my business and the airsafe will definately be necessary as the ride will be rough I imagine. So, yes Im a cummins guy too.

Keep posting pictures Larry and update us of any issues.

Thanks Vinnie

So, have you towed the new one yet with the AirSafe? Just wondering. We're still in northern Indiana, until Wednesday, then on to Guttenburg, Iowa for a couple days....
Take care.

Actually, it was, until dodge started using the Cummins in the late 1980's...

Unfortunatly, not yet.
I have unexpected company coming to visit next week so I'll have to wait for another window of opportunity to open before I can get out.
Your trip sounds like it's going well. When do you hope to be crossing into Canada?
Good luck!

Since Someone mentioned the "Top Truck", That would be a custom built Peterbuilt powered by a Comer'.

The trip is going very well so far, we will be leaving Goshen, Indiana tomorrow morning, heading to Iowa. After that, two more stops, stateside, then to Sweetgrass, Montana for the Canadian leg.

Probably will be another 10 days or so. As I've mentioned frequently, we're not on a time schedule, and it really is great not having to follow a fixed schedule...

Can't argue that, although, it may be a bit of "overkill" in the RV world...
