1995 Classic Excella Tongue Weight

I took our 95 25 foot Excella Classic in to get the weight distribution hitch adjusted to a different vehicle and the hitch guys said that my tongue weight is 1200 lbs !
This seems way high. There is some water in the tanks could that make the tongue so heavy?

I have 800 pound rated bars on the distribution hitch and now they want to sell me 1200 # bars and new hitch.

This is all new to me, any help would be appreciated.

Hold off buying anything till you can get accurate weights and can move some stuff around and drain your tanks. That sounds incredibly high! Something's not right with the way you are loaded or you're getting a story. Once you determine accurate weights and move some loads around I believe 800# bars are fine.
Read up on some of the threads about weighing your AS and come back with the figures and we, collectively can figure this out.

According to airstreamguy.com - ** Airstream Lengths, Weights and Tongue Weight
your trailer has a dry tongue weight of 700 lbs.
