In addition to our Airstream, I also own and tow a 17' Casita (similar size and weight as your 16' Bambi), and tow it with a Toyota FJ Cruiser with an Andersen hitch. The combination works very well.

We also have a friend in our unit that tows a 19' Airstream with a Toyota Tundra on just the ball, with no issues at all.

Again, just my opinion here, but I think the only mistake you can make is going with too big of a hitch.
