I'd venture to say that, per some commercial members, you don't need weight distribution when using a Peterbilt...

What kind of fuel mileage do you get?....I guess it doesn't matter when you have 2 100 gallon tanks.

It's possible. Truckers do call that a Frightliner.

Curt.
No, your truck will not hurt your Airstream, it will destroy it, slowly, but very effectively.
The trailer must have a soft ride, from it's own suspension
system to the softness of the tow vehicle, and torsion bars.
Your tow vehicle killed two out of three of those requirements.
You asked.

You need a WD hitch on that unit.

Could be a Freightliner causing a "flatliner"

Andy,
Do you agree that a air hitch would help? I believe my worst problem is the large bumps that make any vehicle and trailer combination "fold up and down". CanoeStream thanks for the air hitch info, I know it's a must for an HDT towing a 5ver. And yes all it's not as smooth as a Volvo, but I challenge any 1 ton to ride quality! Also 11-12 mpg no matter what and with 300 gallons, one fill and we can hit the right coast!
Thanks all!
Cheers!
Curt

Most "road tractors" have air bag suspensions, which cushion the ride a lot. Does yours, or is it springs only?

Question
Curt.... I guess I thought this was just a one time pull you did for the fun of it. Is this a combination you are actually going to use on a regular basis???
