I just relocated my 35' SOB with a dozer - does that count as wierd?
The good
Tows great - no sway
Easily adjustable trailer ride height via 3 pt hitch
NO TV squatting
Great manuverability
Super low CG
Easily removes obstructions in the road
"I can't even tell it's back there"
The Bad
MPG is Gallons per mile
Ride is kinds rough
Ya'll think a WD hitch creaks and groans??
No photos, my assistants were too busy laughing

Well, I've towed a couple of smaller rigs around the park here with our 1948 Ford 8N. Ours looks pretty much like this one:

I only wish I had a picture of this....
About 20 years ago, Grandad pulled an old oak stump out of his backyard, Which the old 400 in his 76 Ford Gran Torino was able to do handily.
That problem solved, now he needed to get it the 2 miles down the road, accross Highway 99 to his shop so it could be cut up.
Not a problem either since it was still chained to the back of the Torino, so off he went.
Unfortunatly dragging a 5 foot stump across 99W did catch the attention of a passing trooper.
It only took him 15 minutes of research to find something to write a ticket for. I believe it was for not having proper fenders on "the trailer".
In reference to earlier posts on this thread....
The reason why the British drink warm beer? They all have Lucas refrigerators

Overkill
When I purchased my Bambi II in 1980, I towed it home with a 1979 GMC dually. Yes, I got lots of strange looks. One man even suggested that I should haul it in the truck bed.

Canadian towers...
Canadians tend to buy smaller vehicles and fuel efficiency ranks higher when deciding which vehicles to buy, whether its for towing or not. This is evident in the fact that for years now the Honda Civic has been the best selling car in Canada, as opposed to the Toyota Camry in the US. For me the challenge is to find a balance between towing ability when its needed and practicality when its not. There are also much better beers other than Molsons that you might want to check out. I would recommend Steam Whistle or Upper Canada.
Safe towing to all.

What trailer
What trailer, if it were not for the backup camera I wouldn't know it was back there.

On the way around Lake Superior last summer, our combo rated a compliment at the border. only comment from the Canadian border agent -"nice rig! you have a nice trip, now!" no questions at all about us, our dog, or the beer we had in the trailer

What me worry?
Hey Bob!
Back up and on the road.
Roger Williams Airstream did a great job repairing my rig.
I'm in Round Top, TX catching up on my artwork.

7000 lb AS with an Intrepid
Here's an interesting article about a guy who tows a 7000 lb AS with an Intrepid. If you read his explanation about why it works, it makes sense to me. RV Lifestyle - Hitch Hints
Check it out.

20 years ago Dad and Mom, being DIYers, loaded up their big heavy couch on the boat trailer and hauled it from the city to the lake house with their big old Ford. Sorry, no pictures.
