Can we not turn every thread into a debate about tow vehicle specmanship?

Nobody is going to win this argument - and for those that read the forum regularly we know who is on either side.

I was enjoying this thread until the TV argument cropped up again.

And you expected what from a thread titled "What you tow with"?

But then, I've not seen any arguing on this thread, just statement of facts and concerns.

Those are my favorite colors for TV and AS. Nice looking rig.

Sorry folks. I didn't mean to start an argument. There is obviously some history here that I'm not aware of, I've just never seen a mini-van towing that size of a trailer and it just doesn't appear safe to me. As long as he's okay with it, that's all that matters. I'll move on.

No need to move on...it's just that this same discussion is currently underway in many threads - current and past. With the same folks weighing in on either side.

Let's get back to images of folks TV - and their assessments.

Here's an unusual one: a 2001 Yukon Denali XL with a 6.0 litre, supercharged motor developing 500 hp and 550 ft. lbs. of torque. Tows like a diesel, runs on gas, and gets the same gas mileage as stock (12 mpg towing). Plus, fun when not towing! The supercharger manufacturer (Magnuson) said the only part of the whole system that hurts gas mileage is the driver's right foot.

As an old hotrodder, it would be great to see pictures of that engine and blower.

Do you think Can-Am can modify my new toy (Merc SLK 55 AMG) to tow my 2007 27FB Safari? It has 370hp and 367ft lbs of torque. Not sure about the gearing though. LoL. .
