Tows great. Not quite as well as BMW x5 did, but still great. 9-11 mpg towing. Gets tons of smiles and waves. Polished Airstreams are a great way to meet new friends.

Towing with EcoBoost

This is a 2011 Ecoboost 2WD with max tow package. 157 inch wheelbase. Sets up pretty well with an Anderson hitch. Very happy with this rig.

I tow a 27FB Classic with a 2007 Durango 5.7 Hemi.

We had a bit of a sag when we moved from our 25 Safari to our 27 Classic.

I recently changed the rear shocks to Monroe Sensi Trac HD shocks

The primary adjustment was to my Reese Dual Cam.

Adjusted the Cams because I took up a chain link - this leveled out the Durango.

I plan on keeping the Durango for another 4 years. (She only has 65,000 miles).

The plan is then to upgrade to a 3/4 Crew Cab. Not sure on which brand - I have done a ton of research, but the Jury is still out.

The new Dodge 1500 diesel is a long shot option - with the limited payload capacity.

Have towed around 13,000 miles with my Infiniti QX56 and SilverLeaf. Big engine, plenty of torque. AND, amazingly comfortable ride with 4 wheel independent suspension, a low CG, and my basset hound, really likes the view!

Slightly different approach. Jim

After years of towing with a Mercedes ML, I went to a Dodge Durango.
My bike rides inside.

Our 2007 23' Safari is towed by a 2006 F-250 Super Duty 6.0L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel, Crew Cab, 4x2 truck with Tow Command System and has an Equal-i-zer hitch with 1000# spring arms... this setup has worked well for us for over 6 years.

Hope that everyone is doing well!

1989 32' Excella is towed by 2003 Ford F-250 Super Cab, 2 wheel drive, 7.3 diesel, auto transmission (4R100). Hitch is the older design Reese straight line dual cam with 800# bars with one added friction sway control. Much better tow vehicle than our previous regular cab, short bed 1/2 ton truck - the tail (trailer) no longer wags the dog (truck).

It would appear that now all four of the major pick up manufacturers have declined to accept the new SAE recommended method for establishing tow ratings. Now, what is that all about? Jim
