We lost a little bit of time when we arrived home as we needed to shovel the driveway before we could get the trailer up the driveway.

After clearing the driveway, backing up the trailer to the barn door was not a problem.

The electric winch comes in handy again to pull the truck off the car carrier and into the barn.

Some last minute "steering" needed to line the truck up straight for pulling into the barn.

Finally...in the barn! Brian is posing with his "steering" mechanism. The only thing left to do is the final push-chalk-push-chalk-push-chalk to get the truck into its final resting place.

Just a little bit more "precision steering" and the truck is in place.

At 6:45pm, we closed up the barn and returned the car carrier to U-Haul. By the time we finished up, it was close to 8:30pm. Exhausted, we retired early and slept well that evening.

I saw an old timer load a truck on a trailer in about 2 minutes with no winch or pushing. He hooked a cable to a tree behind the truck, ran it UNDER the truck to a pully on the front rail of the trailer then looped back to the front of the truck. He then got into the tow vehicle and drove the tow vehicle and trailer forward. The cable tightened and drug the truck up the ramps and onto the trailer.
Old age and experience will overcome youth and exuberance every time.

Yay, Yuki! Good job! And what a cool truck! Enjoy the heck out of it.

And thank you for the great play-by-play with pictures!

Now I know why you bought that big old beautiful New England home! It was just for the barn!
