Well I had a 2007 tundra crew cab with the 5.7 and owned it fir 10 yrs. it's a great truck but with a GVWR of 7000lbs, with a topper on top I weighed it at the cat scale and weighed 6500lbs with me, the wife dogs and stuff loaded in the back, that's before even hooking up a 1000lb tongue weight airstream on there. That's not enough for my comfort, so now we have a 2017 f350 diesel and it's my daily driver which is fine with me. Truck is awesome and fun to drive.

What did the scale show was the TW load on front & rear axle of that previous truck?

What do you tow your 27 FB with?

I didn't weigh the airstream because we didn't have it yet. That's why a weighed the truck before I bought the airstream

GMC Sierra 1500 SLT crew cab with 420 hp 6.2 liter and max trailer tow package. Totally satisfied; 2 cross-country trips and all over mountain west, California, PCH end-to-end, you name it for 30,000 miles. 11-13 mpg towing @60 mph. Would have preferred 30+ gallon fuel capacity rather than 26, but I never had to resort to the 3 gallons in the generator gas can. Got pretty close to that on the way to Tonopah Nevada. Quiet truck; cruises along at 1800 rpm like a diesel.

Just finished adding a dexter 2.875" lift to the #11 axles of my 27FB. The setup fits my LX570 tow vehicle much better! Accessing some of the blind nuts to fit the blocks was a bit tight but doable with just an open end wrench. There was absolutely no welding of bolts necessary like some tutorials I've researched.

She tows just the same, but no more scraping!

Some nice unexpected bonuses: Easier on on my back when accessing all the compartments, including dumping. The extra height advantage of the dump outlet will definitely help at some dump stations too.

We need some more visual aids in here. Returning from a local weekend trip today.
