What do you make of this rig?
Well, it doesn't get much more fun than this! All I can come up with for an explanation, if I had been able to speak with the owner, is....."By gum, I wanted to do this set-up just the way I wanted to do it, and no one, and I mean no one, was going to stop me!". Ha!

Too funny! I tried for fifteen minutes to rotate the photo (taken on an iPhone) and couldn't, even after searching the forum for advice. Figured the rig photo was worth posting even if the photo was rotated.

It is a relatively short 3 axle house trailer.
The car carrier seems to be part of the trailer frame.
That car probably weighs less than the amount of house trailer that would be there.
What's the point? I don't get it.
I couldn't rotate the picture on my PC.

This is the kind of thing a retired millwright would fabricate from the ground up. I'll bet he's got a machine shop for a bedroom. LOL This guy is definitely a redneck.
The ramp probably raises and lowers and retracts when not in use. The third axle was probably added for greater stability.

There is probably nothing unsafe or structurally wrong. Looks like the car carrier is tied into the trailer frame really well. I just don't see the point, though.

The TT box is attached to one long heavy frame, and the 3 axels are near the end of the trailer box, just ahead of the car. Obviously not the original frame for the TT. Not pretty, but probably safe to tow. However, I would not want to be in front or behind this guy.

Not only stupid but illegal " Any object extending 4 feet or more (some states 3 feet) behind the rear of any vehicle must be appropriately marked (Red flagged) ......." True in CA and AL and most every other state. The condition as shown is why semi trailers have rear bumpers or drop down guards in back, as mandated by the DOT, to prevent a car from driving under the rear end.

The point is that the truck can tow the 5th wheel but not the car in addition so he carries the car. It would make more sense if it was a boat!

Do the brake lights on the car work when he applies the truck brakes. If they don't then he has more than a 5' overhang and no warning flags. I wonder what state police have to say about this setup.

Box it in, put lights on it and there is the toy hauler with a ridicules amount of overhang. Wonder what his TW is?!
