Thanks! I've tried 4 different mirrors and I hope this one is it! It looks cool and sounds great! Just ordered it. Thanks again.

We are towing a 16' Bambi Sport with a custom hitch on a 2011 Golf TDI using Milenco mirrors (the McKesh wouldn't allow the windows to open and close properly). We drove it from Can-Am RV in London Ontario all the way to Vancouver Island with no issues. The average MPG was 23. Overall a dream setup for us!

Sweet. With our V6 gasser we only get 16 to 17 MPG towing our 23'. 23MPG heading west is really nice.

That Golf TDI sounds like an awesome set-up!

I also just bought a set of the Milenco mirrors. We tried them on a 2011 Durango V6. The mirrors worked pretty well, with only a bit of image flutter. My wife accidentally pulled one loose until she realized how to move just the ball-hinged mirror section.

Other than that, the mounting clamps were rock solid and the adjustments work quite well. Good sized, and they even come with a handy carry bag (but no instructions)!

Tom

Just opened the Milenco mirror box. Looks simple to install. But what is the 6" x 9" black cloth for? The clamps have rubber on one surface. Is this protection for the other surface? I have a feeling the purpose is obvious but so far I am clueless.

Hmmm..not sure either. It's a basic 'clamp on, clamp off' system. I don't recall a cloth, for cleaning the mirrors maybe? Check this out though:

I didn't get a cloth but I got a storage bag. I love these mirrors! I clamped mine to the bottom ( reversed the bars) and think they work great.

Cleaning? Some smooth artificial fiber types sold with prescription eyeglasses are meant for, and awfully good for, the finishing polish.

Interesting...what differences have you noticed by bottom clamping?

I just didn't like them clamped on top amd the way the bar is curved I don't feel I am seeing any less of the trailer etc. these mirrors are way better than anything I've tried before.

These are the only ones we've had (other than trying the McKesh briefly at the dealership). No complaints so far. I did find that 'cloth' thingy when I looked through the bag, no ideas on that.

Millenco Mirrors

Just finished round trip to NW Arkansas from Dallas in heavy winds with the Touareg TDI, the 28'CCD and the Milenco Aero 2 mirrors. Everything AWESOME. The mirrors are by far the best I've used. quick to install and less vibration than the McKesh mirrors. AND they didn't F up my paint finish! I paid (not much) less than $100 for the pair. Well worth it.
