Hi folks.

We have a line on a 2006 CCD25' and it will be our first trailer. We are a family of 6 and will be doing traveling around the mountain west and to Texas each year.

Strongly considering a GM van because of the family size (our 4 kids are 8 years old and under down to one year), its one-ton availability, inside storage space, 6.0L gas engine, and price. One major negative is the expensive 4x4 conversion price.

We've also considered a 1-ton pickup but people capacity would be snug for long trips. And price out the door is about the same as van plus 4x4 conversion.

The kicker", we may have the opportunity to get the trailer BEFORE we can procure the van.

What are your thoughts? Feels kind of like putting the cart before the horse.

Thanks.

If you are happy with the trailer GET IT! And with a family your size I would get the Van and convert it to the 4x4 if needed.
